AMEN?

For some reason I am getting spam to one of my email addresses from an
ONLINE CHRISTIAN DATING SERVICE.

How did that happen?  They have no idea who they are emailing that to.  I start laughing every time one arrives in my Spam Inbox.  They make my day.

A to the Men!

P.S. The parade yesterday was off the hook.  I have numerous photos and need to find the time to upload them and add appropriate commentary.  Let's just say there was a ton of spandex, crushed velvet, and awkward teenagers in marching bands and kilts.

And hot cops.  To quote one of my bosses, "Get your little green ass down there and find yourself a cute man!  There are tons of them!  Just reach out and take one!"

I opted to watch from the sidelines and was in bed by 10:00pm, but still had a glorious time.

HAPPY ST. PATTY'S.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY TO ALL OF YOU!!

It is a BEAUTIFUL day with clear blue skies. I am at an apartment on 5th Avenue in a green dress, ready for all my friends to come parading by. I will eventually make my way down to the street to really live it up (without boozing because I am on the brink of getting a cold).

Hope you all have a very safe day and I will post pictures soon of all the revelry. On Friday night I was walking home from the gym and there was a guy totally decked out in a kilt and knee socks walking around playing the bag pipes. Love it.

And we all love and are thinking of you, Kaky, on this very Mary Sheehy kind of day. We miss you.

SAD FACE.

OMG I can't believe they broke up. I am like, so sad. And so surprised. They were my definition of forever.

'Levi Johnston doesn't want you to believe everything you read. Standing outside his family home in Wasilla, Alaska, Wednesday, the 19-year-old confirmed that the end of his engagement to Bristol Palin was mutual and decided "a while ago." But, he also told the Associated Press that the rumors on the Internet of why and how were inaccurate. Meanwhile, Palin, the 18-year-old daughter of Gov. Sarah Palin, issued a statement through her mother's political action committee, saying, "Unfortunately, my family has seen many people say and do many things to 'cash in' on the Palin name. Sometimes that greed clouds good judgment and the truth."The teenagers' infant son, Tripp, was born Dec. 27. Representatives for Gov. Palin have not returned calls for comment.'

HOLY.

So I am officially moved into my new apartment. There are still some things to unpack, but it just feels soooooooooo good to be in one place and know that I am not going anywhere for a looong time.
The weather has been a bit warmer and I am rawther pleased. I was getting really sick and tired of having to wear big coats all the time and I am now officially on coat strike. I have moved to jackets and I am hoping that I can keep it that way.

A few random things:

- I'm really glad Tom Brady and Gisele got married. I like them. And Tom Brady grew up a few blocks away from me, so yey. They are either going to have extremely attractive kids or really ugly ones. With those two there is no middle ground.

- Why is Katie Holmes Cruise suddenly rocking long hair? Doesn't she know that we all know it is really short under there and that the long locks are all fake? Why do celebs do that? Do they think that because they're famous we will think they have super fast chia pet growing hair?

I don't comprende.

- I have been listening to a lot of Adele recently and you should too. Particularly the song "Melt My Heart to Stone." It is perfect for pseudo rainy days like today.

MOVING RIGHT ALONG.

I AM MOVING INTO MY NEW APARTMENT TOMORROW MORNING! HUZZAH!!

I am really excited.

I am also really, really tired and really, really full of Indian food. My friend Wrenndolyn is getting her cast removed on Tuesday so we had a goodbye party for him (she named him Quintin).

I spent today recording a demo in New Jersey with my band and I'm pooped. Hopefully all will go smoothly tomorrow. This will be the 5th time I've moved since October 2008. I will not be moving again for a long time.

GOODNIGHT AND GOODLUCK.

SNOWDAY PHOTOS.

My secret spot is right along the water and is usually jam packed in the summer, but not so crowded during the winter (except on the slopes, of course). You have to walk under this overpass to get to the hill and I think Larkita and P'Amusing thought I was taking them somewhere to kill them.

Kill them with fun!!!

This go round, at the urging of one particular fellow, we decided to up the level of difficulty. Some of the moves were successful:

Some were not:

So I did some juggling to make up for the crashes:

I don't even really know how to juggle.
Larkita made a beautiful snow angel to finish off the day.

SNOWDAY STAYCATION.

Today I awoke to a crisp, white Manhattan. I had an audition first thing in the morning, the streets were almost totally empty, and upon returning home I decided it was time to do what everyone should do on a snowy day.

Work? NO.

Sledding? YES.

We hit the slopes and let me tell you, it was oh so grand. And we ended the day at Shake Shack. Pictures and more details soon to come...

FYI: I am on a mini staycation, seeing as I spent the weekend at my friend's house up in the country and am now crashing at my sister's apartment while she is away skiing because it is bigger and has a bathtub and a TV. I am feeling very rejuvenated and relaxed, which is the exact opposite of what I was for the past 2 weeks. I was kind of in bad shape. I am also moving into a new apartment in the coming week, so I am resting up. More blogging to come in the next few days; sorry for the lapse.
